An officially recognized student organization since 1970, Prism is an educational and social organization for NIU students. In addition to educating the campus community about LGBT concerns, Prism provides opportunities for LGBT students and their allies to come together to share common interests in a comfortable and supportive atmosphere. Prism sponsors cultural, educational, and social events throughout the academic year.
We have planning sessions every Monday night at 9:00pm in the LGBT Resource Center resource room, room 706 of the Holmes Student Center (that big tower in the middle of campus.) These meetings occur weekly during fall and spring semesters, unless classes are not in session, such as during winter or spring break. Meetings generally last for about one hour.
